The Trail of the Lonesome Pine Outdoor Drama, based on the novel by John Fox Jr., is the Official Outdoor Drama of Virginia and one of the longest-running outdoor dramas in the country. Set in Wise County, Virginia starting at 10 PM. Set in the little town of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, the "Trail" drama is an excellent entertainment experience for the whole family. The theater is outdoors, yet since it seats fewer than 400. Seats are spacious and comfortable, and getting in and out isn't a problem. When you arrive at the Barbara Polly Theater, please be aware there will be metal barricades at Clinton Avenue and Jerome Street.
